GMOs: GM What?

Genetically. Modified. Foods.

Are you possibly eating any types of fruits or vegetables right now, possibly a tomato? Well, I'd take another look at that tomato, or wait, is that even a real tomato after all? How can one possibly tell?

In the year, 1994 (when I was born!), scientists had the stupidest idea ever. They decided to mutate a tomato. Now I don't believe in God, but that's totally ruining His creations, and I don't believe in ruining God's creations (or in my case, mother nature's creations). They took genes from other species and implanted them with in the tomato, with endless possibilities of a new tomato.

Do your tomatoes rot too fast? Don't worry, scientists can fix that!
Do your tomatoes attract too many bugs? Don't worry, scientists can make them have their own gene for that too!
Do your tomatoes taste sorta bland? Don't worry, scientists can fix that, too!

Am I the only one seeing a problem here? If they can do any of the three abov…

My Fight Against Being Skinny

What? Skinny, you say? But...but everyone wants to be thin.
Well, I have a confession. I feel too skinny, and it's a battle I try to fight every single day. Yes, being overweight is hard; so is being skinny. Each require daily commitments. I will never bash on anyone who is trying to lose weight because I know how you feel in a way. It's an impossible struggle; well, gaining weight is the same exact way.
Here's where it all started: Three years ago, I randomly lost weight, not exactly sure why it happened. It was not because of my vegetarianism because this happened before I turned into one. I actually lost 15 pounds, and let me tell you, I'm quite a skinny minnie to begin with. I didn't realize it at first; I thought everyone was crazy when they said I looked too skinny.
Okay. Maybe not everyone said so, but my own mom did. But she did so in a bad way. She made me feel like crap every day of my life. She threatened me to gain weight and would weigh me every single mo…

Beginning of a Random Story

So I started on a new story a while back, which I realized has too similar of a plot to another book that's published called, The Selection, and it's written by Kiera Cass.

I have not read it, but here's the cover, pulled from Amazon.

But I might as well share what I've written since I won't be publishing this or anything spectacular with it. It's in it's first form, so I didn't edit it or anything like that.

The Secrets to Health Begin with the Colon

Okay, I know, I know. I missed today's post. Today was the second day of my job, so that's kinda why.

But to make it up to you, I really want to dive into the topic of colon health.

I've been reading about it for quite a good while, so my opinions are all made up and good to go.

Well, all of you should know that the colon is part of the digestive tract, right? I hope you do cause I didn't. But that's beside the point.

But let me ask you a few questions first. They may be kind of personal, but they're important, and you only have to answer them in your head.

Do you have bowel movements at least 3 times a day? Do you often have constipation? Do you take in the daily requirements for fiber? Is your diet filled with meat? Do you drink lots of (purified/filtered/distilled) water throughout the day?

Well if you answer, no, yes, no, yes, no, then let me tell you, your colon is probably bad.

Let me explain it for you. We eat to live, and what our bodies cannot benefit …

Crocheting: The Lost Skill

Now, let me tell you the complete, honest truth: I have no idea how to crochet, none. But I am determined to learn how once I actually get the materials and a good book.

It really makes me wonder what happened to these type of skills. Are we really that sucked into society that we have lost all the important trades and skills our ancestors once honed? Yet now we live in a world where children are obsessed with technology, mostly their "precious" cell phones. Now don't get me wrong; cell phones are wonderful, but kids these days take it to the extreme. When you begin sending over 8k texts in one month, something is completely wrong with you, and you're likely to develop Carpel Tunnel Syndrome. I, for one, do not want to grow up like this.

I really wish my grandmother would've taught my mom all these skills such as crocheting, sewing, knitting, and so on because I'd love to actually do something good with my life. And you can actually make money off this stuff …

My Experience With Proactiv: Rosacea & Acne

Do those Proactiv comercials tempt you? Have you considered more than once on trying it? Are you on the borderline of giving into that temptation?

Well, please STOP, and read my story first.

I've used Proactiv, I have experience with the product, and I want to share my story with you guys. But I must backtrack almost 4 years ago to when I actually used it.

Actually, I'm going to backtrack a little farther back than that...

Well, here it goes:

When I was twelve-years-old, I had the most perfect, flawless skin a girl would die for, literally. I rarely had to use makeup because my skin was seriously that perfect. And it stayed that way for a good long time. I was selfish back then, not realizing how damn lucky I was. I can't imagine how many girls envied me.

But then, I got sucked into the world of society and started to feel the need to wear makeup, constantly. That was my first mistake. After I began wearing makeup as a need to feel "pretty," I started to develop a…

Time for Change

Okay. I have seriously been a really, really bad blogger. Shame on me!

Although we did have a huge storm that knocked our power for a week, but that doesn't explain my negligence for the other two weeks.

So...I think I'm gonna change things up and have a new schedule for each and every week. I'm not quite sure what it'll be yet, but I promise it will be worth it.

Maybe something similar to this:
Monday-What's New
Tues.-My Crocheting Journey
Wed-My Cooking Journey
Thurs.-My Writing Journey
Friday-StoryTime!

What do you think of the new schedule? Does this sound appealing to you? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
